The Adult Fitness Park, which is located in Tervaporvarin puisto, is a joint project of ten Rotary Clubs in Oulu and the city of Oulu.
The idea was brought to Oulu from Alanya Cleopatra beach by Ulla Nevala of Oulun Tullin RK and Kalevi Nevala of OIRC. Our honorary member PDG Sakari Hakola was active in the equipment purchase negotiations. The purpose of the park is to provide an enjoyable platform for adult fitness exercises. Many adult exercisers, including the Chancellor of Oulu Univercity, Lauri Lajunen, have praised it as the best exercise facility improvement in Oulu during 2010. |
